251 Bags First-class, 604 Fails as Nigerian Law School Releases November 2023 Bar Final Results

The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has officially released the results for the November 2023 Nigerian Law School Bar Final Examinations.

Under the leadership of Chief Emeka Ngige SAN, the Council approved the results on Tuesday night, marking a significant milestone for the aspiring lawyers who underwent rigorous preparation for the examination.

Out of the 5,308 candidates who sat for the examination, a notable 251 individuals, representing 5 percent of the total candidates, achieved the prestigious First Class Honours grade, showcasing their exceptional dedication and academic prowess.

Furthermore, a commendable 1,024 candidates, constituting 19 percent of the cohort, attained the Second Class Upper Honours grade, demonstrating their admirable commitment to excellence.

Meanwhile, 2,179 candidates, comprising 41 percent of the aspirants, were awarded the Second Class Lower grade, reflecting their solid performance in the examination. Additionally, 967 candidates, or 18 percent, successfully secured the Pass grade, signifying their satisfactory completion of the rigorous assessment process.

However, a minor setback was observed as 283 candidates, making up 5 percent of the total, received the Conditional Pass grade, indicating the need for further improvement before obtaining full certification. Regrettably, 604 candidates, amounting to 11 percent, will resit the examination at a later date.
