Adesina Ogunlana Sworn in As NBA Chairman Ikeja Branch Pursuant to a Succession Agreement

Mr Adesina Ogunlana has once again been Sworn in as the Chairman of Ikeja Branch popularly called Tiger Bar on the 19th of May 2017.
Mr Ogunlana’s first election was last year declared as void for non compliance with the Uniform Bye Law of the Association by the NBA National Executive Committee NEC under the former President of the Association, Mr Austin Alegeh SAN.

A subsequent Bye election was ordered by the NBA NEC where Mr Dele Oloke was declared elected and sworn in as the Chairman of Ikeja Branch.
Mr Ogunlana refused to recognize Mr Oloke and Challenged his disqualification at the High Court without much success.
But in a Dramatic twist, the NBA NEC at its meeting in Aba, Abia State on February 2017 reversed its 2016 decision and AGM recognition of Mr Oloke and ordered another Bye election for the Branch and further cleared Mr Ogunlana to contest the Bye election.
However, on the 19th of May 2017, the Bye election day, Mr Ogunlana was sworn into office as the Chairman of Ikeja Branch pursuant to a Succession agreement adopted by the Branch where Mr Oloke will succeed Mr Ogunlana in office without an election.
Mr Ogunlana who broke the news of the Succession agreement in his Facebook page described it as “Historic and Momentous” and a win for Ikeja Branch.
