In his speech, Mr. Tabji mentioned that; “No conflict ever happened without leaving its mark on a people; the youth are always what is left from every generation, and the fact that we are the leaders of tomorrow, comes with a long line of history that we must bear, to either pass it on as it was handed to us, or bend it from sour taste of hatred, anger and bitterness, to compassion, empathy and human understanding. Because there will be a moment for every generation and how we act, will be our contribution to the continuous and never ending work of making life better than we have found it.”
The session which particularly focused on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 16 was quite engaging and informative, reflecting on how African youth can rethink peace building and governance.
