Following the report, the Divisional Police Officer in Ighoho swiftly mobilised a joint team consisting of police officers, Amotekun operatives, local vigilantes, and hunters. A search-and-rescue operation was launched immediately, involving extensive bush combing to locate the missing officer and track down the assailants.
Authorities have assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that every effort is being made to secure the safe release of the kidnapped officer and bring the perpetrators to justice.
In a separate but related development, a member of the Amotekun Corps in Osun State was killed by suspected hoodlums in the Papa Farm Area of Iwo Local Government Area.
