Daddy Freeze in reaction to Okupe’s statement on Facebook said that although he loves and respects Pastor Adeboye, he finds it hard to fault the alleged statement of Femi Falana.
He stated that it is his humble opinion that Church in Nigeria as a whole, not just the RCCG, is a business model that is only profitable to the church owners.
Freeze stated that he could not understand why a country like Nigeria that is submerged thoroughly impoverished will invest so much in churches, while there are a few functional factories and not a single Ivy League school.
Daddy Freeze is of the opinion that he sees nothing wrong or dangerous in criticizing religious or political leaders. He said it is biblical and Christian to keep up against religious leaders who go astray.
To support his position, Freeze cited some Bible references. He pointed out that Apostle Paul criticized Peter publicly, as seen in Galatians 2:11.
Furthermore, he said Paul’s letter to Timothy in 1 Timothy 5:20 suggests that elders who sin should be chastised publicly.
He further disclosed that Jesus criticize the Pharisees and Scribes who were the teachers of religious law in the entire chapter 23 of the book of the Gospel of Matthew.
