[JUST IN] Dame Pauline Tallen Briefs Gadzama, SAN to Defend her In Case filed By The NBA
Recall that the Nigerian Bar Association has sued the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen, OFR, KSG before the FCT High Court for allegedly making disparaging comments after the judgment of the Federal High Court in Suit No. FHC/YL/12/2022 between Mallam Nuhu Ribadu v. All Progressive Congress (APC) & 2 Ors. delivered on the 14th October, 2022.
The Minister has since briefed Chief. Joe-Kyari Gadzama, OFR, MFR, SAN to defend her in the case pending at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory with Suit No: CV/816/2022.On the 19th of January, 2023, the presiding judge in the Suit, Hon. Justice U.P Kekemeke granted the motion for substituted service of the originating processes and other accompanying processes on the Minister.
Meanwhile, Chief Gadzama has filed a Memorandum of Conditional Appearance dated the 26th of January, 2023 on behalf of the Minister.
The matter is now adjourned to March 6, 2023 for report of service.
