EASTERN BAR FORUM PRESS RELEASE!
You will recall that the Third Quarterly Meeting of the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) earlier scheduled to hold in Anaocha, Anambra State on 1st and 2nd October, 2021, later shifted to 8th and 9th October, 2021 was eventually postponed indefinitely due to the worrisome security situation in Anambra State at the time. Since then the leadership of the EBF has been in consultation with Chief Emeka Obegolu SAN and the NBA Anaocha Branch with a view to rescheduling the said meeting after the peaceful and successful governorship election in Anambra State on 6th November, 2021. Consequently, the meeting shall now hold on 11th and 12th February, 2022 in the Branch and venues earlier announced.
The program is as follows:
Friday, 11th February–
1. Arrival of EBF Council members and delegates.
2. Courtesy visit to the Chief Judge of Anambra state.
3. Courtesy visit to the Attorney General of Anambra state.
4. Courtesy visit to the Igwe of Obeledu and Chair of Anaocha Council of Traditional Rulers.
5. Commissioning of the Chief Charles E. N. Obegolu Bar Centre.
6. Welcome Cocktail by the Chief Judge of Anambra state by 5pm at the Anaocha Bar Centre.
7. Welcome Dinner Party by Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN at Dikeizu Manor by 7pm.
Saturday, 12th February
1. Breakfast hosted by Chief Alex Ejesieme, SAN at the Chief Charles Obegolu Bar Centre by 8am
2. EBF meeting at same venue by 10am.
3. EBF Grand Dinner at the Golden Tulip hotel, Agulu by 6pm.
