Five members of the Obiakor family were re-arraigned before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja on charges of allegedly stealing over N242 million from two Nigerian companies — Just Kings Nigeria Limited and Real Kings Nigeria Limited.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought Chisom Obiakor, along with her relatives Daniel Obiakor, Anthony Obiakor, Precious Nwokemodo, and Ifeanyi Nwokemodo, before Justice Mojisola Dada on a seven-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
According to the EFCC, the alleged offences took place between January 1, 2021, and September 1, 2022. Prosecuting counsel Anita Imo told the court that Chisom, an employee of the affected companies, diverted goods worth N242.391 million and funneled the proceeds to members of her family.
