Speaking at the Associations just concluded Annual General Meeting, AGM, The President of the Association, Mr AB Mahmoud SAN, responding to a member’s query on why Branches are yet to get their dues from the headquarters of the Association, explained that the monies due to branches has been re-invested for the completion of the NBA new headquarters at Plot 1101 Cadastral Zone A00, Central Business District, Abuja in accordance with a National Executive Committee NEC resolution to re-invest all monies due to Branches into the new headquarters until it is fully completed.
Questioning the rationale behind the decision, a member of the Association Philip Ntejeneh wondered why the National Body of the Association  did not record the expenses as debt owed to branches in the financial report of the Association.
Responding to Mr Ntejeneh query, another member of the Association Mr Osas Erhabor wondered why the NBA branches kept mute about the issue.
There are concerns among members of the Association that this NEC Resolution may place the branches in financial difficulty and disarray as many branches are also building Branch Bar Centers as Branch headquarter without any help from the National Body.
