Some Nigerian Lawyers have advised the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA to consult influential lawyers to help the Association’s quest to free Inibehe Effiong Esq who was imprisoned for one month for contempt of court by the Akwa Ibom Chief Judge.

 

The NBA had in a statement from its president, Olumide Akpata, narrated how its effort was rebuffed by the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom.

Reacting to the NBA failure, Activist, Steve Nwankwo, a.k.a Steve Sun  advised NBA to approach the court with its “big guns” and listed the heavyweights as former NBA Presidents, JB Daudu SAN, Austine Alegeh SAN and OCJ Okocha SAN. He listed other heavy weights as Kanu Agabi SAN and Mike Ozekhome SAN.

Reacting, Lawyer, Emeka Ojunta, in apparent reference to the controversies trailing the Firm of Wole Olanipekun and Co, advised the NBA to bring the SAN that influences Judges to help in the case of Inibehe Effiong.

Further reacting, another Lawyer, Cent Woge, also in apparent reference to Olanipekungate urged that the SAN that advertised the firm influence on judges who doubles as head of principalities and powers of Bar and Bench should help with the Inibehe Effiong case.

Reacting further, Yvonne Aimiegheme stated that this is the right time that Lawyers need the firm’s expertise, but she honestly doubt if that will happen as there’s nothing to gain for the firm.
