Joint SSS-Military Operation Deals Heavy Blow to Bandits Linked to Dogo Gide in Niger State
In a decisive joint operation, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and troops from the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) successfully neutralized dozens of heavily armed bandits affiliated with notorious terrorist leaders Dogo Gide and Leyi.
According to top security sources, the operation kicked off on Tuesday when the bandits attacked Chibani village in Munya Local Government Area (LGA), killing one resident, Ayuba Isah, and injuring a policeman and a local elder, Alhaji Shuaibu.

Reinforcements moving from Galadima Kogo to Kuchi played a crucial role in weakening the attackers. Additionally, a security source observed large herds of cattle—suspected to have been stolen—crossing Kusasu River in Galadima Kogo District, Shiroro LGA, heading toward a hideout in the Borisudna/Kwaki axis.
DSS operatives and Nigerian Army soldiers in the area requested aerial support from the Nigerian Air Force, expressing confidence that air strikes will flush out the fleeing bandits and bring the operation to a successful conclusion.
