Jonathan’s comments come amid a wave of defections from opposition parties — including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) — to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), raising concerns about the health of Nigeria’s multi-party democracy.
Reflecting on Chief Edwin Clark, Jonathan described him as a political father with unmatched courage and intellect. He said Clark’s legacy was irreplaceable, noting that his sharp memory and fearless spirit made him a one-of-a-kind leader.
