Locus in quo: Villagers allegedly attack Gombe judge, Court Staff, Lawyer over Land dispute
Several individuals have reportedly been attacked by unidentified persons in Degri, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State.
The victims, who were attacked on Saturday, include a judge of the Upper Area Court III, Ayuba Buba-Dalas, Barr. Usman Yahya, and a court staff.
It was gathered that the court routinely conducts physical assessments to determine the cause of conflicts related to land disputes.
As part of this process, Buba-Dalas embarked on a tour to measure the land and determine the rights of the parties involved.
An eyewitness, who requested anonymity, recounted the ordeal of the trio and stated that they were attacked by villagers as soon as the team was spotted.
