Man charged to court for defiling six-year-old boy
A 21-year-old trader, Yusuf Adam, was on Thursday arraigned in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for sexually assaulting a six-year-old boy.
Adam, who resides at Alakuko Area, suburb of Lagos, is being tried for sexual assault, which he pleaded not guilty
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Raphael Donny, told the court that the offence was committed on Feb. 10 at an uncompleted building located at Area 1 Estate, Alakuko, Lagos.

Donny said that the accused lured the victim, a six-year-old boy to the building under the pretense of sending him on an errand.
“The accused sexually assaulted the boy by penetrating through his anus,” he said.
Donny also said that the accused and the victim stay on the same street.
He said the offence contravened Section 135(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Davies Abegunde, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case till March 8 for mention.
