The Coordinator of Dr Alex Otti inauguration Committee, Hon Iheanacho Obioma, has said that Dr Alex Otti was using his personal resources to fund his inauguration ceremony as next governor of Abresources on 29th May, 2023 to avoid wastage of government fund in embarking on such exercise.

Hon. Obioma stated this, Wednesday afternoon, at Dr Alex Otti Campaign Office, Umuahia during a press briefing to the Correspondents Chapel of Abia NUJ while intimating them of the activities lined up for the historic event.

The Dr Alex Otti inauguration Committee Coordinator, Hon Obioma noted that the governor-elect was using his personal resources to put things together for his inauguration ceremony and would not want the outgoing government to go into elaborate funding that would ultimately eat up the scarce resources in the state in the name of organising a befitting hand over ceremony.

He pointed out that they expected a mammoth crowd and wanted to give Abians the latitude to express their joy.

He said, “We have called this meeting today to formally brief you of the activities lined up for the inauguration of the His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, and the Deputy Governor-elect, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, as governor and deputy governor, respectively, of our dear state, Abia, on Monday, May 29, 2023.”

As part of the activities planned toward the inauguration of Dr. Otti as the 10th governor of Abia state, several activities by different groups across the state and outside of Abia have been lined up by the committee.
