1. I and my wife had the day before yesterday (i.e. on Thursday 18/5/23) visited a private hospital in Bwari, Abuja, out of station, to access medical facility. My wife visited for her Antenatal while I visited for some medical complaints. I contacted the NNPC-HMO and there was an effective communication with the hospital by the HMO. Neither me nor my wife paid any Kobo and the bills were settled by the HMO, including prescription of medical drugs on me!.

2. Today (Saturday 20/5/23) and as I speak or chat now, my wife had some medical complaints and we equally visited the same hospital and there was effective communication with the hospital by the HMO as well. No communication network failure! My wife has been admitted and medical treatments have been administered on her to stabilize her. The HMO has sent a code to the hospital and the hospital has been attending to my wife and I was told by the hospital that I have no issue with the hospital and that the hospital shall settle its bills with the HMO!

The NBA health insurance scheme then stands a great idea for Nigerian lawyers and their family members!
