National industrial Court orders LASU to pay Dr Joseph Udonne the sum of N3,769,704.09 as outstanding entitlement
The National industrial Court has ordered Lagos State University, LASU to pay Dr Joseph Udonne all his entitlement in the sum of N3,769,704.09.
The claimant who was represented by Stephen Amallagoge Esq has sued the Lagos State University Ojo , claiming damages amongst other reliefs for unlawful dismissal .
Counsel for the claimant had argued that the process that led to his client’s dismissal was marred with irregularities as against the laid down procedures, as enshrined in the 2008 condition of service of the defendant .
Counsel for the defendant, Agboola Adeleke SAN, contended that due process was followed in accordance to 2017 condition of service of the defendant .

The honourable trial court presided over by Hon. Justice I.G Nwaneke while delivering the judgment, held that the extant condition of service of the defendant is that of 2008 and accordingly awarded cost of N3,769,704.09(Three million, seven hundred and sixty-nine thousand, seven hundred and four naira, nine Kobo ) assessed as excess workload allowances and N750,000( seven hundred and fifty thousand naira ) as cost of action .
