NBA Abuja Branch Crisis: Caretaker Committee Summons Meeting; Releases Bye-Election Timetable
CALEB DAJAN, NBA ABUJA BRANCH CARETAKER COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN
The NBA Abuja Branch Caretaker Committee has summoned a meeting today the 16th day of June 2017 for the first time since its constitution by the Association’s National Executive Committee meeting in Aba, Abia State
The meeting was slated to hold by 4pm at Merit House, number 22 Aguiyi Ironsi street Maitama Abuja

The Caretaker Committee has also released time table and guidelines for by-election to fill the vacant offices of the Chairman and Secretary.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, Caleb Dajan and Mustapha Abubakar respectively, the election will hold on June 30, 2017
The statement said collection and submission of forms will hold from June 16 to 20 while publication of voters list will be on June 21, 2017.
On June 24, the initial list of candidates will be published just as the final list will be released on June 24.
All interested candidates are expected to submit their curriculum vitae, manifestoes and other campaign materials latest on June 28, 2017 for publication on the website of the Branch.
“All participants at the election including voters and candidates must appear in acceptable lawyers’ dress,” the statement added
NOTICE OF MEETING AND BYE ELECTION TIMETABLE
A faction of the Branch led by the Embattled Chairman Ezenwa Anumnu has however described the Action of the Committee as a contempt of court and urged members to shun the meeting and the committee.
