The Chairman of NBA Bwari Branch, Clement Chukwuemeka, Esq, the Secretary of the Branch, Olalekan I. Oladapo, Esq have instituted a law suit against President Muhammadu Buhari, the AGF and others at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

The Suit seeks amongst other things AN ORDER mandating the President and others (sued as Defendants) to arrest and arraign before a competent Court all those who were present during and after the burial of late Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari for violating the Social distancing and sit at home order of the President including breaching all known protocols for burying dead body of Covid-19 victims as regulated by NCDC and W.H.O.

In the Court papers made available to BarristerNG, the Plaintiffs posited that what is good for the goose is equally good for the gander. If other citizens of Nigeria could be arrested and prosecuted for violating the order of the President (as it concerns the Covid-19 Era) then those persons (who were mere spectators) who attended the burial of the late Chief of Staff at the Gudu Cemetery on the 18th April, 2020 should be arrested and prosecuted as well irrespective of their status.

The Plaintiffs have since briefed Ahmed Tijani Yusuf, Esq to handle the matter on their behalf. Ahmed Tijani Yusuf, Esq is the Publicity Secretary of NBA Bwari Branch and also a Human Right activist.
