NBA Constitutional Crisis: Some Members Who Failed Election Attempting To Use Judgement To Cause Confusion- Olagunju

THE General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association has accused some members of the Association who contested and failed elections under the 2015 Court annulled Constitution of attempting to use the Justice John Tsoho Judgment to cause confusion and disaffection amongst members of the association to drive their narrow selfish interests.
The General Secretary of the Association stated this in a statement issued on the Judgment in  SUIT NO. FHC/ABJ/55/2016 :OLASUPO OJO V. INCORPORATED TRUSTEES OF THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION.

It will be recalled that Justice Tsoho of the Federal High Court Abuja had in the OLASUPO OJO case, Â annulled the 2015 constitution of the association for non compliance with the provisions of the companies and allied matters act.Â
The Judgement has been greeted with grave concerned by members as it has interpreted by some as removng all officers of the association sworn into office under it.
The General Secretary of the Association directed all the officers of the association both at the National and Branches to continue discharging their official functions.
