NBA Election 2018: Ikeazor Akaraiwe Joins the Race

The former first Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association NBA, and Chief Rapporteur of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr Ikeazor Akaraiwe has reportedly joined the race to replace the current president of Nigerian Bar Association NBA, Mr AB Mahmoud SAN.
Speaking in an Exclusive Chat with BarristerNG, a Senior Member and former executive member of Eastern Bar Forum, EBF stated that Mr Akaraiwe and four other members of the association will undergo a process called “adoption” which is a de facto primary election for all the contestants.

Mr Akaraiwe has been Vice-Chairman, Financial Secretary, and Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu Branch (2001-2008), 1st Vice-President of the Nigerian Bar Association (2008-2010). He is currently the Chief Rapporteur of the Association.
Other members listed as jostling for the same position are Chief Arthur Obi-Okafor SAN, Prof. Ernest Ojukwu SAN, Afam Osigwe and Paul Usoro SAN.
The EBF Chief further denied that EBF issued any warning to Paul Usoro SAN.
