NBA invites Justice Umeadi for first “State of the Nation Dialogue”
The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Justice Peter Umeadi, is one of the top presidential candidates that have been invited for the Nigerian Bar Association’s State of the Nation dialogue which would hold January 30 in Abuja.
A letter signed by Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau stated as follows: “As we approach the 2023 elections, another crucible in our four –yearly election circle, it has become quite clear that the stakes are much higher this time with citizens concern about insecurity, economic uncertainty and political instability, most Nigerians have taken more than a passing interest in the electoral process and outcomes.
“In the list of the foregoing, and in the fulfillment made to the Legal profession and Nigerians, I have conveyed the Nigerian Bar Association State of the Nation Dialogue, a one day event, which is designed to, among other things prepare discussions that will provide Nigerians with the information to guide them in making the right choices.”

Furthermore, the letter stated: “Given your decision to run for the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I consider your participation expedient in the NBA’s first open dialogue with presidential candidates in this electoral cycle.
“We believe that this engagement with the Nigerian Bar Association is one that the whole nation needs and would appreciate at this time.
“We expect that this dialogue will afford Nigerians the opportunity to better understand your often stated interventions around the three focus areas of the dialogue Security-Economic-Administration of justice.”
