The President of the Nigerain Bar Association, YC Maikyau SAN, has appointed popular Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former General Secretary of the Association, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN as the Chairman of the 2023 Annual General Conference Planning Committee (2023 – AGCPC). Mazi Osigwe will lead 44 other members of the committee including other senior advocates and a former chairman of the NBA Abuja Branch, Dr. Agada Elachi.

The NBA President, charged the committee to deliver a memorable conference to lawyers and further empowered them to co-opt more members if they want.

The Annual General Conference of Lawyers is scheduled to hold from 25 August to 1 September 2023 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

You will recall that the 2023 Annual General Conference (AGC) is scheduled to hold from 25 August to 1 September 2023 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, as approved by the National Executive Council (NEC) at its Quarterly Meeting held on 15 December 2022. In furtherance thereof, I have constituted the 2023 Annual General Conference Planning Committee (2023 – AGCPC), pursuant to Section 13(2) of the Constitution of the Nigerian Bar Association, 2015 (as amended in 2021), subject to ratification by NEC.
