Ondo man mobbed for vandalising four ATMs

A yet-to-be-identified man has been beaten to a pulp by residents of Ore community in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

the victim allegedly vandalised the Automated Teller Machines of some banks in the commercial town on Monday.

The action raised suspicion that he was mentally ill.

An eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claimed he saw the lifeless body of the victim as blood gushed out of his head.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, said the victim destroyed four ATMs, leading to a mob attack on him.

She said, “Information has it that he destroyed four machines, hence the beating, but he did not die.”
