PDP Rejects Any Political Deals by Wike, Calls Them Personal Moves
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has distanced itself from any political agreements purportedly made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, insisting these were personal arrangements that do not represent the party’s official stance.
This statement emerges as the party faces an escalating internal crisis threatening its unity and cohesion.
Daniel Woyengikuro, PDP’s National Financial Secretary, made it clear that the party had no involvement in any deals linked to Wike, emphasizing that such agreements were not authorized by the PDP.

He questioned, “What agreements are being referred to? Wike made agreements with his associates, not the party. The names he mentioned — they are not the party. The party has no knowledge of these agreements.”
With increasing demands for reconciliation and reform, Woyengikuro highlighted the role of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the PDP’s highest decision-making body after the national convention, as the proper forum to settle the ongoing disputes.
“The NEC will handle the issues. This is not a physical fight or personal conflict. The unnecessary drama must stop,” he added.
He also dismissed recent public allegations made by Wike, urging Nigerians and party members to trust only official communications from authorized party bodies.
