Dr Mike Ozekhome, SAN, CON, OFR, FCIArb, LL.M, Ph.D, LL.D, D.LITT, yesterday delivered the 10th Convocation lecture of the Afe Babalola University ( ABUAD), Ado Ekiti.

In his highly applauded and well researched 83 page lecture, Ozekhome spoke passionately on “THE PLACE OF EDUCATION IN A CRISIS-RIDDEN NIGERIA.

Shortly after the Convocation lecture, the founder and Chancellor of Abuad, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, CON, OFR, LL.D, surprised Dr Mike Ozekhome, his wife, lady ( Bar) Josephine, his sons, Bars Oshomha and Osilama, and the mammoth crowd of friends, well wishers, students, staff of ABUAD and traditional rulers present, with a well decorated birthday cake.

The cutting of the cake and rendition of songs were led and supervised by former Nigerian President,Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR. Today, Ozekhome will be awarded the LL.D Doctorate degree (HC), along with former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni and the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Garba Elkanemi.
