Police arrest NDLEA official, three others for attempted murderThe Police in Bauchi have arrested a staff of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Gombe State Command and three others for attempting to kill a 29-year old man.

The suspects were said to have attacked the victim, Isiaka Auta of Kaduna State on the 22nd of February, 2017, and stabbed him several times in his lower abdomen and head along Alkaleri-Futuk road in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incidence to newsmen in a statement in Bauchi on Thursday said the incidence occurred on the 3rd of March, 2017.

He disclosed that Auta was left in a pool of his blood to die but was rescued by the Police and rushed to the hospital for medical attention where he regained consciousness.

“On the 3/3/2017 at about 09:00hrs (9am), Police detectives attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Bauchi in collaboration with Alkaleri Division arrested the following Syndicate, Isa B. Masu, male, (29) of Nasarawa ward, Kaduna, Umar Mohammed, male, (34) of Billiri in Gombe State and Abdulkareem Abdullahi, male, (29) of the same address.

“Suspects conspired with one Kabiru Gani, Staff of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Gombe State Command and attempted to kill one Ishiaku Auta (29) of Kaduna State on the 22/2/2017 along Alkaleri -Futuk Road.

“Victim was stabbed several times in his lower abdomen/head and abandoned in the bush by the assailants,” he said.

“All the four suspects have been arrested and the case is under investigation to uncover the motive behind their action after which they would be charged to Court for prosecution.
