Chief Mike Ozekhome

The President, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has decided to confer on Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, OFR, Ph.D, the prestigious National Honour of COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF THE NIGER (CON).

Ozekhome, already a recipient of the National honour of OFFICER OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC ( OFR), will be conferred with the National honour alongside other distinguished Nigerians at a ceremony slated for the 11th of October, 2022, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The honour is certainly a well deserved and befitting reward for Ozekhome’s famed patriotism, pan-Nigerianess and consistency in speaking truth to authority, challenging impunity and fiercely advocating and defending the rule of law, good governance and the fundamental rights of the voiceless Nigerian citizens who are oppressed, repressed and marginalized.
