‘R3ped, R@bbed, and K!lled’ — Police Reveal How Landlord and Accomplices M3rdered Two AAUA Students After Female Victim Unm@sked Him
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a landlord and two other suspects in connection with the k!dnapping and br3tal m3rder of two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA): Abah John Friday, 25, and Okah Andrel Eloho, 19.
The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, CP Adebowale Lawal, disclosed this on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, while briefing journalists in Akure.
The body of Okah was discovered last week at a border community between Ekiti and Ondo States—three weeks after the victims were abducted. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to recover the remains of Abah John Friday, who is believed to have been dumped in a river by one of the suspects still at large.

According to the police commissioner, the prime suspect, Oladele Femi, who is the landlord of Abah John Friday, confessed to masterminding the crime and aiding in covering up the murders.
Lawal revealed that N800,000 was withdrawn from Abah’s account during his captivity, and that Okah was raped before being murdered. The suspects decided to kill the victims after Okah recognised and unmasked one of the abductors, thereby threatening to expose the criminal operation.
“Following a petition dated June 24, 2025, submitted by G.O. Omoedu & Co., Legal Practitioners, on behalf of Mr. Emmanuel Peter of Shagari Village, Akure, concerning the abduction of his younger brother, Abah John Friday, and his friend, Okah Andrel Eloho—both of whom were declared missing on June 20—an investigation was launched,” Lawal said.
He explained that detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit tracked an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the victims to Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos, where it was recovered from a 38-year-old man, Abdul Mohammed Mubarak. Mubarak confessed to buying the phone from one Ojo Michael, who was subsequently arrested in Aramoko-Ekiti.
A Lexus RX 350 vehicle belonging to the victims was also recovered at the time of Michael’s arrest.
“During interrogation, Michael admitted to taking part in the robbery, abduction, and murder of the victims. He revealed that the plot was orchestrated by Oladele Femi, the landlord of one of the victims, who engaged him and another accomplice, identified only as ‘Kola’—now at large—to carry out the crime,” Lawal said.
Michael also confessed to raping Okah, who later recognised him. Fearing exposure, the suspects murdered both students and dumped their bodies at separate locations between Agbado and Ode-Ekiti.
Lawal confirmed that detectives recovered the body of Okah in a bush near Ode-Ekiti, and it has been deposited at the General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy. Efforts continue to locate the body of Abah John Friday.
Describing the case as a disturbing example of premeditated violence, Lawal decried the senseless loss of two young, promising lives and pledged that all those involved in the crime would be brought to justice.
