Renowned Learned Silk, Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN, Honoured With The Title Of Ambassador-At-Large of the University of Maiduguri
The renowned Learned Silk, Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN, a notable and well-accomplished alumnus of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Maiduguri Alumni Association, and the first Senior Advocate of Nigeria from the University of Maiduguri, was recently honoured with the prestigious title of Ambassador-at-large of the University of Maiduguri.
The conferment of title which took place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Abuja, was graced by esteemed individuals and delegates from the University of Maiduguri, including Professor Adamu Umaru Dzivama, Professor Alhaji Salisu Hassan, Professor Mohammed Musa Saleh and Mallam Mohammed Tanko Ahmed. The leader of the delegation from the University of Maiduguri, Professor Adamu Umaru Dzivama, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Aliyu Shugaba, decorated the Learned Silk with a sash and presented him with a commemorative plaque, symbolizing the conferment of the prestigious title.
The honour is indeed a testament to Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama’s enduring commitment and immense contribution to the University of Maiduguri and the University’s Alumni Association. The Learned Silk is undoubtedly most deserving of this recognition as he has consistently displayed unflinching dedication to the advancement of his alma mater.
Other notable alumni of the Institution who are recipients of the same prestigious title include the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima GCON, the former Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan GCON, the Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, Mallam Mele Kyari and the Vice-Chancellor of Nile University, Professor Dilli Dogo.
