Retired Justice Ajileye Delivers the 9th Badagry Bar Lecture

Justice (Dr). Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye (Rtd) is slated to deliver the 9th annual bar lecture of the Badagry Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association this morning. He will speak on the topic, “Leveraging Emerging Legal Challenges to the Rule of Law in the Prevailing Social-Economic Realities in Nigeria”, as part of events marking the celebration of the 9th Annual Law Week of the branch. The occasion will be chaired by a distinguished jurist, Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance Law Publishers, publisher of the All Federation Weekly Law Report, Mr. Taiwo Kupolati, SAN.
The lecture will be held at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, Ijanikin, along Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Lagos State. Other events set down for the week include visits to correctional facilities, picnics, and a Bar Dinner.
Justice Ajileye retired from the bench of Kogi State High Court in February this year. He has since joined the faculty of Baze University. He remains the toast of lawyers and institutions within and outside Nigeria particularly, in the area of his interest, electronic evidence.
In a statement issued by B. C. Okoro, Esq, the Chairman of the Law Week Planning Committee, it is stated that members of the Badagry Branch are looking forward with excitement to a serious intellectual engagement on the lecture to be delivered by Justice Ajileye, a highly revered jurist with a blend of scholarship and intellectualism.
