SEC Launches Full-Scale Investigation into FF Tiffany Over Alleged Multi-Billion Naira Ponzi Scheme, Warns Public Against Unregistered Investments
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced an investigation into the activities of an entity operating under the name FF Tiffany, which is allegedly involved in a fraudulent investment scheme that has defrauded unsuspecting Nigerians.
In a statement issued Tuesday in Abuja, the SEC disclosed that preliminary findings indicate the scheme lured investors with promises of unusually high and unrealistic returns, resulting in the loss of several billions of naira.
Describing the operation as a serious threat to investor confidence and the integrity of Nigeria’s financial system, the commission affirmed its commitment to holding all responsible parties accountable. It noted that it is collaborating with law enforcement and other relevant agencies to bring those behind the scheme to justice.

The SEC emphasized that any individuals found culpable will be prosecuted under the Investment and Securities Act and other applicable regulations.
Reiterating its warning to the public, the commission advised against participation in Ponzi or unregistered investment schemes that offer guaranteed or exaggerated returns. It clarified that such schemes are not registered with the SEC and therefore do not provide legal investor protection.
The SEC further revealed that it is currently investigating 79 unregistered investment schemes and will release a comprehensive update upon conclusion of the investigations.
Investors were urged to exercise due diligence and verify the registration status of any investment firm or product by visiting the SEC website or contacting the commission through its official channels.
The commission reassured the public of its ongoing commitment to safeguarding investors, promoting fair market practices, and upholding confidence in Nigeria’s capital market.
