The Sokoto State Governor-elect, Ahmed Sokoto, has appointed Mallam Abubakar Bawa as his new Press Secretary.

Channels Television reports that the appointment comes barely four days to the end of the administration of outgoing Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

In a press statement on Thursday by the Secretary of the Transition Committee, Ibrahim Adare, the incoming governor advised him to use his wealth of experience to discharge his new responsibility.

Sokoto congratulated the newly appointed press secretary, urging him to ensure that government policies and programmes are well publicised.
