The Imo League of Professionals have asked the Edo State Government to stop harassing, intimidating and terrorizing their son Douglas Ogbankwa Esq, saying the Edo State Government has acted in a shameful way in its many attacks on the Person and Profession Status of Douglas Ogbankwa Esq.

In a Statement in Owerri on Wednesday the 27th of September, 2023, by the Programmes Officer of the Professional Platform Chisom Christopher the Platform stated that Edo State Government has used one Razaq Isenalumhe one of PDP’s Lawyer in Edo State and a Bencher and Wole Iyamu SAN former Attorney General of the State to write Petitions filled with false information and out rights lies to both to the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the Nigerian Police, acting on the prompting of Edo State Government. The Imo League of Professionals also stated that the recent attack by some officers of the DSS in Edo State on Douglas Ogbankwa at the Edo State Command of DSS Compound, is in continuation of the persistent attacks and harassment of Douglas Ogbankwa Esq by the Edo State Government for doing his professional job as a Member of the APC Legal Team in Edo State and his personal preference of supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be President of Nigeria.The Body asked the Government of Edo State to stop their persistent attacks on the Lawyer and for the DG SSS to order a total overhaul of the Edo State Command of the DSS, as same has been jaundiced by partisan politics.
