The President of the Association Mr Chukwudi Kene Okeke who is also a Senior Advocate of the University was in Abuja to receive the award on behalf of the association accompanied with colleagues and friends of the association.
In his words he said ‘this award proves once again that UNSBA remains the standard for quality in student bar practice and is committed to the development of law students everywhere in Nigeria’.
He further gave credence to his predecessors who laid the foundation of success in the association while reiterating his commitment to UNSBA.
“I am particularly grateful to our predecessors whose legacy has served a momentum that led to this award. Upon my inauguration as the 33rd President of this noble association, I made a solemn pledge to advance the bar and to enhance the professional performance of our members through the running of a progressive, all inclusive and revitalized bar with efficient services and purposefully innovative leadership. It is exactly one year and five days I took that path of service and my administration will continue to raise the bar” He Said.
He also thanked all Unsbaites who contributed in various ways towards the growth of the Association in the past years and expressed his gratitude to LAWSAN for the great honour while dedicating the award to God and many others.
“I thank my team mates – the UNSBA Executive Council and the members of the UNSBA Supreme Council for their continued support. This award is dedicated to God. To all honest and hard-working Leaders. To all UNSBAITES for keeping faith with me. To the past leaders of this Association especially, the past thirty-two Presidents of this Association. To our numerous benefactors, mentors, spiritual leaders and lecturers for their prayers and support”
