UPR, National Validation Conference: Stakeholders submit draft report in Abuja [PICTURES]

The 4th circle of the Universal Periodic Review, UPR, National Validation Conference continued on Friday in Abuja with stakeholders in Nigeria submitting the draft Country report.


Recall that Nigeria was reviewed by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in 2009, 2013 and 2018 during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd UPR Cycles respectively, and preparations have been ongoing for Nigeria’s 4th review scheduled between January and February 2024.

The Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC), Princess F. Frank-Chukwuani, in an emotion-laden voice, commended stakeholders for their input towards the success of the conference.
